From the Block to the Brand is currently in development through Alton Fashion Futures CIC.
We are working with community and education partners in Enfield to explore how practical fashion and pattern-making skills can support young people's engagement, confidence and progression.
The programme is currently seeking funding to provide fully funded places. Further information will be announced as the project develops.

2026 — Identifying the need
Working with community partners to explore how practical creative opportunities could help engage young people who may be at risk of disengaging from education.

NEXUS Partnership
Developing the concept through discussions with NEXUS around opportunities for young people, particularly young Black men who may benefit from a practical creative pathway.

Enfield Grammar School
Exploring the delivery of the programme within a school environment, with the aim of providing students with an alternative practical and creative learning experience.

Programme Development
Alton Fashion Futures CIC develops From the Block to the Brand, combining pattern cutting, garment construction, industrial sewing and fashion enterprise.

Funding Application
Funding was applied for through the National Lottery Community Fund to enable young people to participate at no cost.
Next Stage
Developing partnerships, confirming delivery arrangements and preparing the programme for its first cohort.
